Utility ROV Services were contracted by Moray Offshore Windfarm (East) Ltd (MOWEL) to conduct boulder and debris relocation and survey operations on the Moray East OWF.

The scope of work included boulder relocation and survey at 73 Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) locations (including jack-up footprints) and 3 Offshore Platform (OSP) locations. During the campaign, Utility ROV Services were authorised to carry out additional survey work on 27 WTG locations and relocate any boulder highlighted during the survey as well as carrying out boulder relocation works on the 3 Export Cable Routes (ECR).

Utility ROV Services were issued a Master Target List of boulder/debris that required relocation outwith the clearance areas, where operations were conducted from the DP2 vessel, EDT Kennedy. In addition to the predetermined Master Target List, Utility ROV Services were instructed to relocate any additional boulders/debris that were discovered during survey operations. After relocation operations, Utility ROV Services conducted a full survey at each location to prove no obstructions were within the WTG foundation areas and installation vessel spudcan footprints.
