  • Patrick Crawford

    Managing Director

    Patrick is the Founder and Managing Director of Utility ROV Services. Patrick has been involved with offshore operations from a young age, having successfully completed his apprenticeship within the family salvage business. Furthermore, Patrick developed his career in the oil and gas industry, project managing the design and manufacture of deep-water well intervention systems for such clients as Helix Well Ops, BP and Expro. Understanding the industry requirements for safe, efficient and reliable equipment, Patrick founded Utility ROV Services in November 2013, and has been an enthusiastic and innovative leader with his fresh approach to the market and positive ‘can-do’ attitude.

  • Craig Roberts

    Operations Manager

    Craig has had the opportunity to work with Utility ROV Services from the beginning and has thus developed a detailed understanding of all aspects of the business. Many of the processes within the company have been developed and implemented by Craig during his time learning the company from inside out. Craig has managed multiple projects in both renewables and decommissioning sectors, following the equipment during the execution of multiple offshore campaigns. Craig works to ensure that projects undertaken by the company are executed to a high standard, overseeing prospective and current workscopes whilst also ensuring that all functions of the business work collaboratively.

  • Stuart Burnie

    Compliance Manager

    Stuart joined Utility ROV Services in April 2015 as a Project Manager and brings many years of ROV experience to the table. Stuart’s role includes acting as client interface on projects, and managing our offshore team. Stuart has extensive experience of work-class ROV systems, tooling and remote intervention, offshore subsea operations, and has NEBOSH (DipNEBOSH) and IOSH qualifications. An electrician to trade, his ROV experience includes working as ROV Supervisor, ROV Project Manager, ROV Consultant and as Offshore Client Representative.

  • Linsey Anderson

    Finance & Admin Manager

    Linsey joined Utility ROV Services in October 2016 as the Finance & Admin Manager. Linsey brings with her a wealth of experience from a range of sectors including ICT, tourism, corporate real estate, FMCG and recruitment. Linsey is responsible for smooth and efficient functioning of the back office including finance, HR and administration.

  • Mike Stockwell

    Legal Director

    Mike joined Utility ROV in April 2021 as Legal Director to supervise the Group’s growing interests and is responsible for all legal, contractual and insurance issues. Mike is a qualified legal & risk professional with over 15 years’ experience in commercial shipping/offshore, contract negotiation/management, marine insurance and corporate administration. His background is in marine salvage, having worked on multiple wreck removals and offshore decommissioning projects for Titan Salvage and Ardent Global. He has also had spells in marine insurance, working for Marsh and the West of England P&I Club. He takes pride in being straightforward in business and thinks that keeping things simple is invariably a solid formula for success.

  • Girvin Imrie

    Tendering Engineer

    Girvin joined Utility ROV Services in 2017. Educated with a MEng in Chemical Engineering, Girvin has gained a wealth of experience holding distinct positions in different industries. This experience has helped Girvin in his various roles at Utility ROV Services and given him a real understanding of the company. During his time here, Girvin has led with the implementation of various processes, helping different departments at the company from QHSE, Projects and Tendering. In his role as Tendering Engineer, Girvin’s main responsibilities are building proposals for clients, liaising with clients to understand their scopes, and finalising commercials.

  • Alan Newlands

    Technical Manager

    Alan joined Utility ROV Services in 2016 as a Project Engineer, assisting with the design and manufacture of the current UTROV® system and tools before transitioning to the position of Technical Manager in 2018. Alan has been in the ROV industry for 30 years, with initial experience as a WROV operator and supervisor, followed by various onshore technical development, manufacturing and product management roles. Alan’s role includes technical management and support for the equipment inventory, as well as providing input to engineering for new assets and improvement projects.

  • Liam Murphy

    Offshore Project Manager

    Liam joined Utility ROV Services in September 2015 as an ROV Supervisor and has since progressed to the position of Offshore Project Manager. Liam is a multi-disciplined individual with a strong background in IT and WROVs. Having worked as an Instrumentation & IT technician on a national research vessel, Liam has gained a wealth of experience covering a wide range of survey equipment – an asset when it comes to mobilising the various survey spreads utilised by the UTROV® System. Liam’s role includes acting as a client interface whilst offshore, taking responsibility for offshore operations, reporting and ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently and to the requirements and specification of the client.

    Utility ROV Services is a youthful and exuberant company that see the value added by developing and investing in young professionals. These individuals help maintain the ethos of continuous improvement by challenging the norm and infecting the team with their enthusiasm. We operate a Graduate Framework in which our graduate engineers provide support to the key areas of the business: Projects, Equipment Support and Engineering.

    Utility ROV Services have an experienced team of offshore personnel working 24/7, 365 days a year – many of which are full-time employees to ensure a continuous, reliable and consistent service.

    We align with the MTCS Competency Scheme to ensure capability in our offshore personnel thus ensuring they are aware of the best and the latest practices and procedures.
