Utility ROV Services were contracted by Boskalis to perform mattress installation operations on the East Anglia One Offshore Wind Farm. Despite URS’ Mattress Installation Frame (MIF) being unavailable, a third-party mattress frame was sourced to allow the project scope to be completed.
A unique interface solution was designed in-house, allowing the mattress frame to be interfaced with the UTROV®. The mattress frame was modified by Utility ROV Services to enable full hydraulic functionality, thus achieving cycle times far superior to that of a traditional WROV.
