East Anglia One Phase 1

Utility ROV Services Ltd were contracted by Boskalis Subsea Ltd to conduct boulder relocation operations along 12 inter-array cable routes on the East Anglia One OWF in preparation for cable installations to commence. The boulder relocation operations were conducted from the DP2 vessel, Olympic Artemis, which was also working for Boskalis Subsea for other preparation operations such as pre-lay grapnel runs (PLGR) and crew transfers to WTGs on the offshore wind farm.   Boulder relocation operations were secondary to Boskalis’ key operations, so Utility ROV Services system and personnel were flexible to utilise the available operational time in between other activities to maximise productivity. The system was kept operational by Utility ROV Services personnel on board to be available to dive at a moment’s notice.
