The Utility ROV (UTROV) is a remotely operated tool carrier suspended from the a-frame or crane of a surface vessel. Equipped with several different attachments it has significant through frame lift capacity for the deployment and recovery or relocation of items subsea. Operator feedback is provided through the cameras and lights mounted on the UTROV which also power a suite of survey equipment and relay data to the surface vessel.
The UTROV is equipped with thrusters to control its orientation and assist with positioning during operations.
The Utility ROV system eliminates the requirement to mobilise multiple sets of equipment for a single project, instead utilising the UTROV and a range of grabbing, cutting and dredging tools. The common interface on the base of the UTROV allows quick exchange of these tools.
Dual hydraulic power units subsea create an abundance of hydraulic power at source allowing the UTROV to operate dredging and flow intensive equipment with ease.
